Pakistani Protocol Officer Ashraf Khan Awarded Decoration of Honour by Ambassador Andrea Wicke for Services to Austria

Ashraf Khan’s journey with the Austrian Embassy began 30 years ago, following in the footsteps of his father who was also deeply connected with the embassy. Initially joining as an assistant, Khan quickly ascended through the ranks due to his remarkable understanding and professional capabilities, becoming an indispensable asset to the embassy. Ambassador Wicke praised Khan’s extraordinary skills and his consistent achievement of desired goals. She emphasized how his extensive network, language proficiency, and wealth of experience played a critical role during the 2021 evacuation of Austrian citizens from Afghanistan. His adept handling of press relations and timely insights into Pakistan's political developments have been particularly commendable.
