Strengthening ties - Russian 30 Tons Humanitarian Aid Reaches Pakistan Just in Time for Eid

Islamabad - 27 March 2025 (Adnan Hameed) : On March 27, on the eve of Eid ul Fitr, Islamabad hosted a ceremony of Russian humanitarian aid delivery to the needy people of Pakistan. Over 30 tons of aid includes food, medicine, clothing and other necessities. It was delivered to Pakistan by a special flight of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations with the active support of the Russian Embassy in Pakistan and handed over to the Pakistan Red Crescent Society, says press note. The ceremony was attended by the Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Albert P. Khorev, the MoFA Spokesperson Shafqat Ali Khan, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and the NDMA. In his speech, Ambassador Albert P. Khorev noted the important role of humanitarian cooperation in the context of strengthening Russia-Pakistan relations, which are at the highest point in bilateral history, and emphasized Russia's readiness to always come to the aid of the friendly people of Pakistan.
