Mazhar Hussain Thathal Leads Delegation to Enhance Pakistan-France Trade Relations

Islamabaad - 20 May 2024 (Adnan Hameed) : A high-level trade and business delegation from Pakistan, led by Mazhar Hussain Thathal, Chairman/CEO of the Global Trade & Expo Center, convened at the Pakistan Embassy in France for constructive discussions on enhancing trade ties between Pakistan and France. The delegation, comprising esteemed members of Pakistan's business community, engaged in fruitful deliberations with Pakistan Ambassador Asim Iftikhar and Trade & Commercial Counselor Arooj Rizvi. During the meeting, Chairman/CEO Mazhar Hussain Thathal underscored the importance of expanding Pakistan-made products, including textiles, leather goods, surgical instruments, fashion items, and construction materials, into European markets. Emphasizing the mutual benefits of bolstering trade relations between the two countries, Thathal expressed eagerness to foster closer economic cooperation. The delegation's commitment to promoting gender inclusivity and women's participation in trade was highlighted by Saba William, who emphasized the significance of women entrepreneurs in Pakistan's export industry. William articulated the delegation's aspiration to export textiles and jewelry to France, underscoring the pivotal role of women in advancing bilateral trade initiatives. Kamran Shah, another member of the delegation, emphasized the imperative of increasing international trade collaboration between Pakistan and France. Expressing gratitude to Ambassador Asim Iftikhar for his hospitality and support, Shah reaffirmed the delegation's dedication to advancing mutual prosperity through enhanced trade partnerships. Ambassador Asim Iftikhar extended a warm welcome to the delegation, acknowledging their efforts to strengthen Pakistan-France trade relations.
