Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan Raja Pervez Ashraf Message on Kashmir Martyrs Day 2023
Islamabad - 13 July 2023: (Adnan Hameed): On Kashmir Martyrs Day, we condemn the brutal act against Kashmiris by the troops of Dogra Maharaja. Today is the day to honour the brave souls who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Kashmir on 13 July, 1931. Their martyrdom strengthens our resolve to stand united in support of our Kashmiri brethren. This day serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggle faced by our Kashmiri brothers and sisters. Pakistan has always condemned the human rights violations and demanded justice for the innocent lives lost in Kashmir. Parliament of Pakistan stands firmly with our Kashmiri brethren and is fully committed for peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue. Parliament has also passed number of resolutions against the atrocities of Indian Armed Forces and for rights of self determination of people of Kashmir in accordance with resolutions of United Nations Security Council. Speaker affirmed that Pakistan will continue to provide its moral, diplomatic and political support to the people of Kashmir in their pursuit of self-determination on all forums.
