Emergency Aid Reaches 9,000 Flood-Affected Families in KP and Baluchistan

Islamabad - 22 May 2024 (Adnan Hameed) : In the aftermath of severe flooding caused by heavy rains in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Baluchistan, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) swiftly responded by distributing 9,000 Shelter and Non-Food Items (NFI) kits to support the urgent needs of the impacted communities. These relief kits, containing vital items such as shelters, solar panels, blankets, plastic mats, kitchen sets, water coolers, and antibacterial soap which provided comprehensive support to 63,000 individuals, offering vital assistance during this critical time. The aid directly benefited flood victims in five districts of KP (Upper Dir, Lower Chitral, Swat, Charsada, D.I. Khan) and three districts of Balochistan (Gwadar, Chaghi, Pishin). This initiative was executed in close collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and the respective provincial governments of KP and Balochistan through the Hayat Foundation.
