Expanding Horizons: Pakistan Offers 100 More Scholarships to Palestinian Students

Islamabad - 24 April 2024 (Adnan Hameed) : Pakistan reaffirms its commitment to supporting the educational aspirations of Palestinian students by announcing an additional 100 scholarships, adding to the existing 5000 scholarships previously granted to Palestinian students across various universities in Pakistan. The announcement came during a visit to Al-Refah University, where Ahmed Amen Rabie, Ambassador of the State of Palestine, signed an agreement formalizing the provision of 100 scholarships to Palestinian students. These scholarships, offered by the university across its nine branches throughout the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, encompass a range of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, including Master’s and Ph.D. programs. Each scholarship is fully funded, ensuring that Palestinian students have access to quality education without financial burden. Additionally, the Alkhidmat Foundation will provide an additional 50 thousand rupees to each student for the entirety of their study period, further facilitating their academic pursuits. Expressing gratitude for the unwavering support of Pakistan, Ambassador Rabie commended Pakistan's generous assistance across various humanitarian, diplomatic, political, moral, and educational realms. This initiative underscores the deep-rooted fraternal ties between Pakistan and Palestine and reflects Pakistan's steadfast commitment to supporting the Palestinian people in their pursuit of educational excellence and advancement.
