Islamabad 17 November 2023 (Adnan Hameed) : The Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan proudly unveiled the groundbreaking "Medemer Generation" Book, authored by His Excellency Dr. Abiy Ahmed, the esteemed Prime Minister of FDR Ethiopia. This compelling work encapsulates an innovative idea, a transformative philosophy, and a strategic framework for nation-building by fostering synergy and alignment of all available resources. The distinguished event, graced by the presence of H.E. Mr. Waseem Ajmal Chaudhry, Federal Secretary for Federal Education Ministry as the chief guest, witnessed the official unveiling of the "Medemer Generation" Book. Joining him in this significant moment was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE), H.E. Jemal Beker Abdula. Held at the Embassy of FDR Ethiopia in Islamabad, the ceremony drew attendance from prominent figures, including politicians, government officials, parliamentarians, members of the diplomatic community, media representatives, and civil society leaders of Pakistan. Addressing the audience, Ambassador Jemal Beker Abdula shed light on the Medemer Philosophy of Prime Minister H.E. Dr. Abiy Ahmed, a Nobel Prize Winner renowned for championing green legacy, regional integration, and pan-Africanism. The Ambassador emphasized Dr. Abiy Ahmed's successful leadership in effecting positive change in the second most populous nation in Africa, implementing the Medemer vision that advocates "interdependence and togetherness" as a way of life, promoting collaboration, cooperation, and unity. Highlighting Ethiopia's visionary leadership and prolific writers, the Ambassador underscored the importance of Dr. Abiy Ahmed's three authored books, providing a holistic recipe for building a resilient and forward-thinking generation. The Ambassador expressed pride in being led by a visionary Prime Minister dedicated to building a powerful political, economic, social, and legal system, leaving a lasting legacy for future generations. The opening of the Ethiopian Embassy in Pakistan was hailed as a testament to the foreign policy reforms initiated by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, reflecting Ethiopia's recognition of Pakistan's geopolitical importance, economic vitality, geographical significance, and diverse culture.
