Targeted Assault on Palestinian Journalists: Al Jazeera Correspondent Wael Dahdouh Injured Amidst Israeli Rocket Attacks

Islamabad(Adnan Hameed)In a disturbing escalation of hostilities, Israeli forces have once again targeted Palestinian journalists and their families, with Al Jazeera Chief Correspondent Wael Dahdouh sustaining injuries during a recent attack in Khanyounis, Gaza. While diligently covering the Israeli massacre at Haifa School, Dahdouh and his cameraman, Samer Abu Daqa, were directly hit by Israeli rockets. Shockingly, Israeli forces obstructed ambulances, preventing the swift evacuation of Abu Daqa from the school to a hospital, leaving him to bleed inside the school premises. This incident marks a tragic recurrence, as Wael Dahdouh had previously experienced the devastating loss of his wife, son, and niece when his residence in Gaza was targeted during the initial weeks of the genocidal war. The deliberate targeting of journalists and their families not only infringes upon the principles of press freedom but also raises serious concerns about the humanitarian repercussions of such actions. The international community is urged to condemn these attacks and advocate for the safety and protection of journalists in conflict zones.
