Islamabad - 23 January 2024 (Adnan Hameed): The 3rd Annual International Exhibition on Engineering and Healthcare, hosted in Lahore from January 18 to 20, 2024, marked a significant convergence of global business leaders. Lahore, the industrial epicenter of Pakistan, proudly welcomed a distinguished business delegation from Kazakhstan, representing sectors such as healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical instruments, sports, furniture, and clothing. Organized at the behest of the Embassy of Pakistan in Kazakhstan and the Trade Development Agency of Pakistan (TDAP), the exhibition spotlighted premier Pakistani manufacturers specializing in medical instruments, drugs, automobiles, household and agricultural equipment, furniture, and cutlery. Amidst this vibrant showcase, Kazakh entrepreneurs engaged in fruitful negotiations with Pakistani counterparts, addressing key aspects related to the implementation of bilateral projects. A pivotal round table, orchestrated by the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Pakistan in collaboration with the Honorary Consulate of Kazakhstan in Lahore, delved into the expansive business opportunities in Pakistan. Noteworthy B2B meetings took place at the "Kazakhstan House," fostering robust ties between the business communities of both nations. The Kazakh delegation's itinerary extended beyond the exhibition grounds, featuring insightful visits to various enterprises. These excursions provided firsthand experiences into Pakistani production processes and cutting-edge technologies. Members of the Kazakh delegation expressed profound interest in Pakistani products and applied technologies, citing substantial potential demand among manufacturers and ordinary consumers in the Central Asian region. Pakistan, a global leader in soccer ball production (capturing 70% of the world market) and surgical instruments (commanding an export share of 80-90%), also secures a position among the Top 10 nations in the textile industry, agricultural output, and pharmaceutical manufacturing. The 3rd Annual International Exhibition on Engineering and Healthcare served as a testament to the dynamic collaboration between Pakistan and Kazakhstan, fostering mutual growth and paving the way for future ventures in the realms of trade and technology.
