OPF and CAA Extend Warm Reception to Students Returning from Bishkek

Karachi - 22 May 2024 (Nasir Abbas): A special flight operated by PIA (PK-6256) transported a total of 171 students (126 female and 46 male) from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Peshawar's BKIAP. The flight arrived at 1120 hrs. To ensure a smooth arrival for the passengers, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) made special arrangements in collaboration with the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), Airport Security Force (ASF), Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peshawar, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), and other relevant stakeholders. The passengers were warmly received by various officials including the Airport Manager (APM), Deputy Airport Manager (Dy. APM), Senior Manager of PIA (SM PIA), Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Syed Fakhar Jehan, Secretary of the Relief Department, Mr. Yousaf Raheem, DC Peshawar, Mr. Afaq Wazir, Director of OPF, and Assistant Chief Protocol of MOFA. Upon their arrival, the passengers were warmly welcomed and presented with a rose, and the National Flag by the OPF. Subsequently, they were transported to their respective home stations using three coasters, which were arranged by the Relief Department of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the supervision of DC Peshawar. Additionally, CAA provided four vehicles to transport the remaining students to the bus station.
