Embassy of the Republic of Korea Announces 2024 K-pop World Festival Regional Preliminary Round in Pakistan
Islamabad – May 20, 2024 (Adnan Hameed): The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Islamabad announces the hosting of the 2024 K-pop World Festival's Regional Preliminary Round on the 28th of June. The K-pop fever is set to ignite the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in Islamabad as talented individuals showcase their vocal prowess or cover dance skills in this highly anticipated event. Organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, and KBS (Korean Public Service Media), the festival aims to foster cross-cultural appreciation and promote the global phenomenon of K-pop. Pakistani participants are invited to submit their video entries from May 17th to May 31st for the online preliminary round, followed by the live event on June 3rd to June 5th. Selected teams from each country's regional preliminary round will earn the coveted opportunity to advance to the final round held in Changwon, Republic of Korea. The competition offers two exciting categories: K-pop Vocal and K-pop Cover Dance, with participants urged to bring their A-game to the stage. While Teuroteu or Gukak (Korean classical music) will not be reviewed, contestants are encouraged to showcase their passion and talent in K-pop performance.
