Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin Advances Bilateral Ties with ECO Science Foundation President
Islamabad - 17 January 2024 (Adnan Hameed) : Today, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Kistafin, hosted Professor Dr. Seyed Komail Tayebi, President of the Science Foundation of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), in a pivotal diplomatic meeting. During the high-level discussions, Professor Dr. Tayebi elaborated on the ongoing initiatives and future endeavors of the Economic Cooperation Organization's Science Foundation. He emphasized the Foundation's keen interest in fostering collaboration and fortifying ties with the esteemed Kazakhstani scientific community. In response, Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin expressed his endorsement of the outlined proposals by Komail Tayebi, affirming Kazakhstan's commitment to cultivating partnerships in the realm of science and technology. In a notable gesture, Ambassador Kistafin extended a formal invitation to Professor Dr. Tayebi to visit Kazakhstan, facilitating meetings with key organizations and universities to enhance cooperation. Following constructive deliberations, both parties reached a mutual agreement to solidify the collaboration further, culminating in plans for Professor Dr. Seyed Komail Tayebi to undertake a visit to Astana later this year. This prospective visit aims to deepen understanding, foster academic ties, and explore avenues for joint scientific endeavors between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Economic Cooperation Organization.
