Ambassador Dato' Mohammad Azhar Mazlan Encourages Pakistani Students to Explore Malaysian Universities

Islamabad – 18 September 2024 (Adnan Hameed): The much-awaited Study in Malaysia Education Fair was successfully held this morning at the Hotel Ramada by Wyndham in Islamabad. Organized by Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), the event offered Pakistani students and their parents a unique opportunity to explore a wide range of educational programs from leading Malaysian universities. The fair was officially inaugurated by H.E. Ambassador Dato' Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan. A prestigious lineup of top Malaysian universities participated in the event, including University Putra Malaysia (UPM), Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), UCSI University, INCEIF University, Multimedia University (MMU), University Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), University Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), University of Cyberjaya (UoC), University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), and University Malaya (UM). During the fair, visitors had the chance to interact directly with university representatives, gaining valuable insights into the courses and programs available, admission requirements, and vibrant Malaysian student life. Additionally, informative seminars and workshops were held, covering topics such as scholarships, visa procedures, and career prospects for students in Malaysia. Malaysia has become a popular destination for international students, thanks to its high-quality education system, multicultural environment, and affordable tuition and living costs. According to the latest statistics from EMGS, Pakistan ranks among the top five countries in terms of new applications received for studying in Malaysia in 2024. More than 7,000 applications from Pakistani students have been submitted since 2020, reflecting a growing interest in Malaysia as a premier study destination. The fair provided an excellent platform for students to explore their academic futures in Malaysia and take the next step towards realizing their educational aspirations.
