U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) and Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) Forge Strategic Partnership for Poultry Industry Growth

Islamabad - 20 December 2023 (Adnan Hameed) : The U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) and the Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) have inked a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on December 12, 2023, in Dubai, UAE, signaling a pivotal collaboration aimed at strengthening Pakistan's poultry industry. The agreement underscores the commitment of both organizations to enhance market transparency, promote the preference of U.S. Soy origin soybeans, and facilitate knowledge sharing initiatives. This collaboration is poised to propel Pakistan's poultry sector towards accelerated growth, particularly in light of the industry's crucial role in addressing the country's food and nutrition security challenges. Stan Born, Chairman of USSEC, expressed optimism about the partnership, stating, "Collaborative efforts like the MoU between USSEC and the PPA will steer us in achieving our collective goal of food and nutrition security. Together we can nourish and build a more resilient, food-secure Pakistan." The poultry industry in Pakistan has long been a significant consumer of U.S. Soy, with soybean meal playing a pivotal role in poultry feed. The high-quality and nutritional profile of U.S. Soy have contributed to the exponential growth of Pakistan's poultry sector, providing a vital source of protein for the nation. Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf, Chairman of PPA, highlighted the positive impact of the partnership, stating, "With U.S. Soy’s continuous supplies, we are confident that the Poultry Industry of Pakistan will prosper. PPA looks forward to the sustained and continuous support and help of U.S. Soy to educate our Association members about the appropriate use of soybean meal in poultry feed."
