On Awarding Ceremony for Outstanding Pakistani Staff of CPEC projects
Islamabad(Adnan Hameed)CPEC is a pilot project of the Belt and Road Initiative and a demonstration project of China-Pakistan cooperation. During Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to China this year, leaders of the two countries agreed to advance CPEC with greater efficiency, and make CPEC an exemplar of high-quality Belt and Road cooperation. The strong momentum of development of the CPEC has supported Pakistan's economic stability, and well-being of the people. The achievements of the CPEC are made through our joint efforts. All Pakistani staff at CPEC projects, through their hard work, make these progress possible. In order to recognize their contributions, the Chinese Embassy held the annually awarding ceremony for outstanding Pakistani staff of CPEC projects on 30th December, 2022. During the ceremony, the representatives of the Pakistani staff from three projects (Mr. Mir Arslan Ali, from Matiari to Lahore ±660kV HVDC Transmission Line Project, Ms. Shakeela Kosar, from Metro train Orange Line Project Lahore, Muhammad Hamza Khalid from Sahiwal power plant) delivered their speeches on the scene. H.E. Ahsan Iqbal (Minister for Planning, Development & Special Initiatives), Ambassador Nong Rong, H.E. Pan Jiang (Deputy DG, National Development and Reform Commission of China), Mr. Ying Minghao (Deputy CEO, Council Member of APCEA) gave their addresses respectively. Representatives of CPEC companies, Pakistan’s think tanks, and media circles attended the event.
