Nepali Army Day 2023 commemorated in Pakistan
Islamabad - 24 February 2023: ( Adnan Hameed ) :Nepali Army Day was commemorated in federal capital Islamabad in a local hotel hosted by Ambassador Tapas Adhikari and Military Attaché Col Amrit Gurung.Lt General Shehbaz Khan, (ASFC) Army Strategic Force Command, from Pakistan Army was invited as the chief guest at the event.The Nepali Army Day reception began with the national anthems of both countries, followed by a programme featuring exclusive video documentary of Nepali Army's achievements and it's role in UN peace mission and cake-cutting ceremony. Nepal's Defense Attaché, Col. Amrit Kaji Gurung and Nepalese Ambassador, H.E. Tapas Udhakari with their opening remarks thanked all the guests for the event and highlighted the diplomatic, military and trade relations between Nepal and Pakistan. Pakistan and Nepal have had diplomatic relations since 1960s. There is close cooperation between the two countries in trade, defence, higher education, tourism, and other fields. Nepal's Army Day celebrations were attended by Islamabad-based diplomatic officials, representatives of international organizations, trade and tourism sectors, media, and friends of Nepal. Pakistan provides diverse scholarships to Nepal’s citizens in different fields and subjects.
