Korean Ambassador Hails PNCA Exhibition as a Showcase of Pakistan's Vibrant Cultural Landscape

Islamabad - 29 August 2024 (Adnan Hameed) : The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) proudly presents the exhibition “Matrix of Life: Impressions and Iterations,” featuring the acclaimed artist and educator Iram Wani. The exhibition, which opened on Wednesday at the National Art Gallery, showcases a diverse range of printmaking techniques, blending traditional methods with contemporary innovations. Iram Wani, a distinguished visual artist with over two decades of experience, has curated a collection that delves into the intricate possibilities of printmaking. Her work is renowned for pushing the boundaries of the medium, fostering a dialogue between established practices and modern interpretations. The opening ceremony was honored by the presence of Park Kijun, the Ambassador of Korea to Pakistan. In his remarks, Ambassador Park praised the exhibition, stating, “I am deeply impressed by the creativity and technical mastery demonstrated in Iram Wani’s work. This exhibition not only highlights the rich tradition of printmaking in Pakistan but also showcases its potential for innovation and global dialogue. It is a testament to the vibrant cultural landscape of Pakistan and the power of art to connect people across cultures.” The exhibition “Matrix of Life: Impressions and Iterations” will be on display at Gallery No. 02 of the PNCA until September 4, 2024. Visitors are invited to explore this unique showcase of talent, which offers a dynamic and evolving perspective on the art of printmaking. In addition to the exhibition, PNCA will host a special printmaking workshop conducted by Iram Wani on September 2, 2024. Participants will have the rare opportunity to learn directly from the artist, gaining insights into her techniques and creative process.
