Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kistafin Meets with Federal Minister for National Heritage & Culture
Islamabad - 16 January 2024 (Adnan Hameed) : The Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin of Kazakhstan engaged in a productive meeting with Caretaker Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Jamal Shah, at the National Heritage and Culture Division today. The discussion centered on fostering deeper cultural ties and people-to-people connections between Kazakhstan and Pakistan, particularly in the realms of art, culture, heritage, film, and cinema. Minister Jamal Shah emphasized the importance of these collaborations to cultivate a profound understanding between the citizens of both nations. Minister Jamal Shah highlighted the significance of Pakistan's relations with Kazakhstan, emphasizing a shared vision for regional cooperation. He expressed optimism about the friendly and brotherly relationship between the two countries and underscored the vast potential for further enhancement. The minister proposed collaboration in the film industry to strengthen bilateral cultural relations. He also announced the upcoming second phase of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) cultural caravan, aiming to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the region. Minister Jamal Shah extended a special invitation to artists from all Central Asian States, including Kazakhstan, to participate in this cultural caravan, promoting regional and cultural connectivity. Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin, appreciating the warm reception, commended the friendly ties between the two nations. He assured future collaboration across diverse sectors, including cultural exchanges, art, cultural heritage, museums, and film. The Ambassador emphasized the potential for substantial cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan, hinting at an upcoming film screening at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) organized by Kazakhstan.
