Education Minister Madad Ali Sindhi Explores the Vibrant Ethiopian Pavilion at Karachi Festival

Islamabad - 24 December 2023 (Adnan Hameed) : The Caretaker Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training, H.E. Madad Ali Sindhi, added a distinguished touch to the Karachi Festival by visiting the Ethiopian Pavilion on Saturday. The Pavilion, inaugurated on Friday amidst the presence of dignitaries from various sectors, showcased the cultural richness and tourism allure of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE). Upon his arrival, Minister Madad Ali Sindhi was warmly welcomed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of FDRE in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Jemal Beker Abdula. The Pavilion, a visual testament to Ethiopia's diverse heritage, drew the attention of esteemed guests from the diplomatic corps, Government of Pakistan, civil society, business community, and media. During his visit, Minister Sindhi enjoyed captivating cultural performances and indulged in the aromatic experience of Ethiopian coffee, a central attraction at the Karachi Feast. Expressing his appreciation, H.E. Madad Ali Sindhi commended Ambassador Jemal Beker Abdula for introducing Ethiopian tourism and culture to Pakistan. The Education Minister acknowledged the significant role of Ethiopian Airlines in fostering connections between Pakistan and Africa, expressing gratitude to the Government of Ethiopia for this pivotal initiative. Ambassador Jemal Beker Abdula reciprocated the gratitude, emphasizing the historical ties between the people of Pakistan and Ethiopia. Highlighting Ethiopia as the land of Bilal Habeshi and King Nejashi, Ambassador Abdula expressed his commitment to strengthening bilateral relations. He noted the enthusiastic response from Pakistan to nurture a robust connection and pledged continued efforts to bridge the nations through proactive measures, fostering closer ties in the future.
