Colonel Thanaei Permpul & Ambassador Krachaiwong Celebrate Decades-Long Friendship on Thai Armed Forces Day 2024

Islamabad - 24 January 2024 (Adnan Hameed): The Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan, Chakkrid Krachaiwong, celebrated the enduring friendship between Thailand and Pakistan, marked by over 70 years of diplomatic relations. Addressing attendees during the Thai Armed Forces Day, he emphasized the historical connection through the Ghandhara civilization. Ambassador Krachaiwong commended Pakistan as a pivotal player in South Asia, asserting its potential to play a crucial role in maintaining regional peace and security amid the prevailing global volatility. In honor of the occasion, Lt. General Muhammad Aqeel, Inspector General of Communication and Information Technology, Pakistan Army, presided as the chief guest. Col. Thanaei Permpul, the Defence and Military Attaché of Thailand, also shared insights on the importance of military and security cooperation between the two nations. Expressing gratitude to the government of Pakistan for its hospitality towards foreigners, Ambassador Krachaiwong highlighted the positive experiences of those who have interacted with the country. He voiced optimism about the deepening ties between the defence and military attachés, envisioning a continued contribution to global well-being.
