Skardu Airport Welcomes Heavy Influx of Tourists as 12 Full to Capacity Airbus A320 Flights Handled

And at times airports in themselves become a tourist attraction, a point to start holidays. Nestled in the Karakoram range, picturesque Skardu airport seems to be doing just that, offering a bit more than just flights home. The North's warm hospitality was on full display, as the local and foreign tourists descended on the picturesque city, signaling a surge in tourism and its rise as a prime tourist destination. The scenic small airport with big-hearted officials stepped up and contributed to the overall holiday mood of the tourists by extending warm hospitality and welcoming atmosphere. In the processs a significant milestone in region's aviation history was also achieved as 12 full to capacity A320 flights were operated in a day connecting Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore to this expedition hub of Gilgit-Baltistan. The positive feedback from tourists will likely encourage more people to visit Skardu and contribute to the growth of tourism and employment in the region.
